Welcome to the Symposium

Message from the Associate Provost Dr. Becky K. da Cruz

This year is VSU’s 13th Annual Graduate Research & Scholarship Symposium. Like nearly every other end-of-year event, we’ve gone virtual. Sharing the research our graduate students engage in is as important as it has ever been. To that end and in recognition of their overcoming the unique challenges presented to them this semester, the title of this year’s symposium is “Sustaining Resilience Through Research.” What the students have uncovered in their research caught the attention of the faculty who nominated them to share their work to a broader audience. This platform, while not offering the same in-person explanation they would have otherwise presented, does allow the faculty, staff, fellow students, and members of the community to learn from them. We are here to celebrate the students and the knowledge they are building upon. We welcome you to explore the Poster Presentation. “The goal is to transform data into information, and information into insight.” –Carly Fiorina
